Born and raised in New York City, Kreg Franco is a tattooer and illustrator who delights in capturing the essence of people and places. Whether through the permanent medium of tattooing or the malleable nature of graphite and paint, he aims to tell a story within each subject.
A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology and the High School of Art & Design, Kreg’s technical foundation is rooted in classical realism and the observation of the world around him. His practice is a constant push and pull between tight, detailed realism and loose, atmospheric strokes. He has gone on to illustrate for Star Wars, Marvel, Batman, Stranger Things, and various indie films.
Currently tattooing between New York and New Jersey, he visualizes clients’ ideas in diverse ways according to the subject. Treating skin and paper with equal focus, his goal is to lead the viewer to recognize the soul in every piece — a reminder that every face, every street corner, and every quiet moment has its own story to tell.
