Sydney Falkner is the artist and designer behind By SYD Studio in Wilmington, North Carolina. With a background in interior design and a lifelong connection to painting, she has always been drawn to how color and art can shape the feeling and soul of a space.
Her work is bold, vibrant, and full of energy, layering unexpected color combinations, expressive marks, and movement in a way that feels distinctly her own. Inspired by places, memories, and the little details that stay with us, Syd paints less about exactly what something looked like and more about how it felt.
Through color, she makes those memories a little brighter, bolder, and more alive.
Dear Nostalgia Project brings that idea to life, turning familiar places and shared memories into art to keep, share, and pass along to the people we love.
